I don't think we've been particularly successful in planning the Italian dinner. The idea is officially scrapped. Probably for the best since we really don't know what kind of kitchenware is available and we don't know what our time looks like.
But, I would like for all of us to get together one evening. Let's just make this casual and easy. Bring something to share and we'll get together (perhaps on Tuesday evening -- we can map out all the sessions we plan on attending) at my condo. As soon as I know which building I'll be in, I'll post it here, on the blog.
To start the ball rolling, here's my contribution for the get together: Nachos with salsa and guacamole.
Any takers?

What else can we bring to eat that won't go bad? Since the food will be sitting in the car most of the day on Tuesday...options seem to be limited to crackers, peanuts, chips, PB&J, etc. Let me know of any other ideas and I'll see what I can get at the store :)
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for the map and directions...super helpful!
Yes, that is a problem -- there's no grocery store in Copper. If you get there in enough time before the keynote, you'd be welcome to put anything in my condo and/or refrigerator. There would also be some time before the 1 p.m. session. I'm going up Monday and am taking a cooler packed with ice. It lasted fine last year -- I had already checked in and the parking was under the condo unit, so it stayed fairly cool. I probably wouldn't risk seafood, egg salad, mayo, or raw meat, but most things would be fine in a cooler for a few hours. I'm pre-cooking the meat for the nachos and freezing it -- it will be fine in a cooler w/ ice.
