When are the people going up on Monday going up on Monday? Is there a deadline for my arrival? I really can't leave until early Monday afternoon. I've got my $75 check and a credit card in my billfold as I type.
Writing this post from my phone...hope it works. When you check in, you'll just need to give your name. Remember that you'll need a credit card.

I can't believe TIE is already here. See you on Monday or Tuesday!

Jill

I'm so glad that you'll be able to attend some of the Technology in Education conference. If you can't find the information you need on this blog, or via links on this blog, feel free to comment or send a text message.

Skyline folks: Our new teacher-librarian, Jill, will be at Copper Mountain for part of the conference. Jill, if you are able, we are thinking of getting together, in my yet unknown condo location, on Tuesday evening -- probably anytime after that last session gets out, 5 p.m.-ish. We'll probably just have munchies and a light dinner.

I'll give you more details on Monday, at the CASL pre-conference. I look forward to meeting you!

Get Together

I don't think we've been particularly successful in planning the Italian dinner. The idea is officially scrapped. Probably for the best since we really don't know what kind of kitchenware is available and we don't know what our time looks like.

But, I would like for all of us to get together one evening. Let's just make this casual and easy. Bring something to share and we'll get together (perhaps on Tuesday evening -- we can map out all the sessions we plan on attending) at my condo. As soon as I know which building I'll be in, I'll post it here, on the blog.

To start the ball rolling, here's my contribution for the get together: Nachos with salsa and guacamole.

Any takers?

Change of Cost for Extra Night

The price for an additional night has changed from $50 to $75. Marcie won't be attending TIE, so the per person cost has changed.

John, please confirm ASAP if you still want to try for the extra night with the increased cost. My contact said that there is availability, but that it could move the reservation to another building. Right now, you and Ben are in Copper One (although there are no guarantees).

Directions to Copper Mountain

Longmont to Copper Mountain

Total Estimated Time: 1 hour 55 minutes
Total Estimated Distance: 110.94 miles

Also, once you get to Copper Mountain, here is a map of the Village. Note: June 23rd, 7:00 AM Noon Registration - Guest Services at the Mountain Adventure Center (will move to the Copper Pavilion after lunch)

Am I able to go up on Monday?

Hi, Myra,

I haven't heard from you since my e-mail on the 11th. Were you able to swing my arriving on Monday afternoon? The last post was yours on the 12th, and it didn't say. Let me know.

The Blog

I think the blog is a great idea. My problem has been no access to a computer while I was out of town. It's good to have a phone number to leave a TXT message or call when that's the only option.

I'll be in Taos this week - hopefully with an internet connection and working computer. I'll try to read at least every-other day

Reservations Confirmed

I didn't hear from anyone else as to whether they wanted to go up a day early. Linda confirmed two weeks ago and submitted her $50. It's too time consuming to email or call everyone individually about everything, so that is why I set up this collaborative blog for everyone to communicate, ask questions, and check our status.

Our condos have been confirmed as of last week. If you still want for me to try to extend the reservation, I need to know TODAY, June 12. I believe that it is too late to try to get the extra night, but I will try. If I am successful, you can give me your check when we get there.

So far, only three people have offered to help with a potluck. Let us know if you may want to do that, or not. Otherwise, we'll just scrap the idea. I think the blog was well-intentioned, but not frequented or used as an effective communication method. I'll keep checking it should you have any questions, leave any comments, or would like to plan anything as a group at TIE.

If people are still interested in carpooling, please make your offers or arrangement here. Linda and I will be carpooling early on the 22nd. Laurel offered to drive on the 23rd, if anyone is interested. Here's the link to the contact info.

Hope everyone is having a great June. They start the abatement at Skyline on Monday, so it begins... The building is inaccessible, for any reason, until July 15th. Hope you have everything you need!

See you in eleven days!
